About Jeté Dance Company

The School of Dance

Jeté Dance Company started in 2002 with its original studio on Highland Road. After two dance seasons, the studio moved to its current location on Airline Highway. Our current studio has three ballroom floors, a roomy lobby, a viewing window overlooking each ballroom, and a covered carpool line. Jeté Dance Company now celebrates its 18th season of dance with approximately 500 students.

Jeté Dance Company takes pride in teaching the art and history of dance technique while maintaining a positive and healthy lifestyle. The School of Dance strives to ensure that all dancers receive the proper attention and dedication needed by our teachers. All of our teachers are certified dance instructors and choreographers with a minimum of 15 years dance experience and a minimum of five years teaching experience. In addition, our teachers continually attend master teacher workshops nationwide to ensure that Jete’ Dance Company is able to teach the best in all dance styles.

The Classes Offered

Classes offered at Jeté Dance Company are Ballet Training, Tap, Tumble, Jazz, Contemporary, Hip Hop, and Pointe. While we offer a friendly environment to dancers and parents, dancers follow a detailed schedule of dance training beginning at the age of two. Before moving levels of dance, teachers ensure the dancer has the proper technique to succeed in the upper levels.

To ensure maximum learning in a structured atmosphere, classes have certified teachers and teaching assistants. Classes are at a minimum of one hour each to maximize dance training. Classes are held mornings, afternoons, and evenings Monday through Thursday.

The Repertoire

Dancers who want to further their dance discipline in Ballet Technique enroll in The Repertoire. This challenging ballet intensive program is rooted in the Cecchetti style of Ballet and builds dance training through barre work and center floor exercises. Beginning at age six, student ballerinas study the basics of Cecchetti and gradually advance to our upper levels of Ballet, Pointe and Advanced Pointe. All classes are divided based on a dancer’s knowledge, technical ability, and experience.
